Our Training Courses:
Preventing Violent Extremism
Duration: 3 Days
Beneficiaries:
law enforcement and security officials, legislators, regional and sub-regional economic and political organizations and institutions, local government officials, youth organizations, religious and cultural organizations.
Format:
The course is presented in a form of workshop, with a series of modules, lectures, practical activity, role play and simulations.
Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive a “prevention of violent extremism” certification from RCPT.
Outline:
The “Preventing violent extremism” covers understanding violent extremism, current threats, how to recognize a violent extremist group, modes of radicalization, protecting groups from radicalization, engaging at risk groups, and zeroes on way of preventing violent extremism. The course aim is to improve knowledge of the threat of violent extremism and strengthen prevention capacity of participants in preventing such threats.
Addressing Terrorism in Africa
Duration: 5 Days
Beneficiaries:
law enforcement and security officials, legislators, regional and sub-regional economic and political organizations and institutions, local government officials, private security companies, businesses.
Format:
The course is presented in a form of workshop, with a series of modules, lectures, practical activity, role play and simulations.
Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive certification in “Addressing Terrorism in Africa” from RCPT.
Outline:
Analyses the concept of terrorism, the types of terrorism, focuses on the ideologies that motivate individuals and groups to resort to terrorism. It examines types of terrorist tactics, methodologies and tools. It analyses specific terrorist groups and examines global, regional and sub-regional trends in terrorist activities.
It evaluates existing responses at regional, sub-regional and national levels and explores prevention and response mechanisms. It equips participants with understanding of approaches and processes of mapping and developing prevention and response plans.
Advanced Terrorist Threat and Risk Assessment and Management
Duration: 5 Days
Beneficiaries:
law enforcement and security officials, private security companies, legislators, regional and sub-regional economic and political organizations and institutions, local government officials, responsible officials in the private sector and businesses.
Format:
The course is presented in a form of workshop, with a series of modules, lectures, practical activity, role play and simulations.
Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive a “prevention of violent extremism” certification from RCPT.
Outline:
Analyses terrorist tactics, methodologies and tools of terrorist groups. It assesses specific terrorist groups capabilities and examines the global trends in terrorist activities and tactics and the importance of terrorist target selection, technology, recruitment and financing.
It focuses on the prevention and mitigation of the risks of terrorism in Africa, through the identification of risk factors, reinforcing internal control systems to prevent and mitigate these risks; developing a risk register; developing a risk profile for a region, an institution, a business, a country, an infrastructure, etc. It zeroes on the development of a prevention plan, and the development of a response plan.
Critical infrastructure protection and response (Tailored to Client)
Duration: 5 Days
Beneficiaries:
law enforcement and security officials, private security companies, legislators, regional and sub-regional economic organizations, local government officials, responsible officials in the private sector and businesses.
Format:
The course is presented in a form of workshop, with a series of modules, lectures, practical activity, role play and simulations.
Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive certification in “Critical infrastructure protection and response” from RCPT.
Outline:
What is critical infrastructure. The importance of protecting critical infrastructure and the impact of not protecting it. The local, national, regional and international impact of terrorist threat and activity against a variety of public and private critical infrastructure including medical, oil, transport, energy, security and others. The course focuses on how to conduct vulnerability assessment of critical infrastructure, and on the development of protection and response plans.
Incident Management
Duration: 5 Days

Format:
The course is presented in a form of workshop, with a series of modules, lectures, practical activity, role play and scenario simulations.
Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive certification in “Terrorist-related Incident Management” from RCPT.
Outline:
Site mapping, defining response modus operandi, defining coordination, command unification, approaches and responsibilities, planning evacuation, identifying security vulnerabilities, identifying suspicious individuals and behaviour, managing suspicious items, evidence collection, evidence management and evidence security, post-incident management, and first-responders’ protection.
Public Event Management and Protection
Duration: 3 Days
Beneficiaries:
law enforcement and security officials, private security companies, local government officials, control room and telecommunication operators, responsible officials, first responders.
Format:
The course is presented in a form of workshop, with a series of modules, lectures, practical activity, role play and scenario simulations.
Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive certification in “Public event Management and Protection” from RCPT.
Outline:
The course covers; site mapping, risk and vulnerability assessment, security planning for major events; terrorist elements consideration in measure event planning (in addition to other threats); risk assessment for major events; stakeholders’ coordination; identifying suspicious individuals and behaviors, managing suspicious items; tactics and methodology used by terrorist groups in public events; building first responders’ teams.
First Responder Integrated Training
Duration: 2 Days
Beneficiaries:
law enforcement and security officials, private security companies, medical responders, firefighters, communication and control room operators.
Format:
The course is presented in a form of workshop, with a series of modules, lectures, practical activity, role play and scenario simulations.
Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive certification in “First Responder Integrated Response” from RCPT.
Outline:
The course covers; Site mapping, defining response modus operandi, stakeholders’ coordination, command unification, approaches and responsibilities, planning evacuation, first-responders’ protection; building responders’ teams, mapping evacuation, assessing service capacity.
Information and data protection and safety
Duration: 2 Days

law enforcement and security officials, intelligence officials, private security companies, telecommunication companies.
Format:
The course is presented in a form of workshop, with a series of modules, lectures, practical activity, and scenarios.
Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course each delegate will receive certification in “Information and data protection and safety” from RCPT.
Outline:
The course covers; Threat to data and information, identifying terrorist threat to data and information; overall cyber security strategy; anti-malware defenses; incident response and disaster recovery; information Risk Management.
